Yoga Therapy

Currently not practicing as a yoga therapist.  Please sign up here if you’d like to receive info when my practice reopens!

Our bodies are records of our lives and experiences–memories, trauma, patterns of behavior, emotions, and more. This method of therapy uses gentle movement, assisted yoga postures, and dialogue to guide clients in self-exploration that uses the body as a compass to their own true north. Accessing our bodies’ power and wisdom helps to heal trauma, survive under oppression, change habits and patterns that no longer serve us, and take concrete steps to fulfill our needs, dreams, and visions.

My approach is grounded in harm reduction and non-judgement. You are your own best expert, and I like to maintain open communication about how your therapy can best support you. Some themes clients have worked in sessions with me: mental illness (including anxiety and depression), suicidal feelings and ideation, major life transitions, difficult or abusive relationships, chronic pain, healing after assault, body image. Many people also engage in this process for the simple purpose of maintaining a regular therapy or body-awareness practice. I particularly welcome queer folks, trans folks, and sex workers.

Low-touch or no-touch sessions are always available. Sessions are 75-90 minutes long and include info & resources about other services in Montréal if needed.
